JTI Photography Exhibition ARISE

Studioworks designed a photography exhibition, commissioned by JTI and the ARISE program, in the reception area of JTI’s headquarters in Geneva. The exhibition is composed of large photo frames that unfold in space. The L-shaped elements provide a spacious exhibition and create interactive areas. For the travelling exhibition the frames are designed such that they can be easily built-up and dismantled. The exhibition visits other JTI offices around the world, and will eventually end in Tokyo in November 2016. The exhibition catalogue can be found here.

Achieving Reduction of Child Labor in Support of Education (ARISE) is a program to help prevent and eliminate child labor in tobacco-growing communities where JTI does business. It is a joint initiative of the International Labour Organization (ILO), JTI, and Winrock International. The photos were taken in Brazil, Malawi and Zambia. All of the people in the photos directly benefit from ARISE activities.
